Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Pinescript Connoisseur, LLC, doing business as "Jacob Does Money" ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use jacobdoesmoney.com (the "Site"), join our email list, message us, or purchase from us. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name and email when you opt in for a free resource, subscribe, or contact us; the information needed to complete a purchase; and anything you include when you message us or submit a review, testimonial, or question.
- Payment information. Purchases are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited order details (such as your name, email, and the last four digits of your card), but we do not collect or store your full card number.
- Messaging information. If you interact with us through Instagram or other messaging tools (for example, a direct-message automation), we receive the message content and the identifiers those platforms make available.
- Usage & device information. Collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies — such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, links clicked, and how you interact with the Site and our emails.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as government IDs, health, or financial-account numbers), and we ask that you not send them to us.
2. Where it comes from
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device as you use the Site, and from the service providers who help us operate — for example, our payment processor, email platforms, messaging tools, and analytics and advertising partners described below.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the free resources, the Course, and anything else you request, and to provide access and support;
- To process payments and prevent fraud (through Stripe);
- To send emails you've signed up for, including educational content and promotional offers (you can unsubscribe anytime);
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site;
- To measure and improve our content and marketing, including through analytics and advertising pixels, and to show relevant ads;
- To respond to your messages and requests; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Legal bases (EU/UK users). Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (for example, to deliver a purchase), based on your consent (for example, marketing emails and non-essential cookies), for our legitimate interests (for example, securing and improving the Site), and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Cookies, pixels & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions, analytics, and advertising. This includes analytics and advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook), TikTok, and Google, which help us understand traffic, measure results, and deliver and measure ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, through platform ad-preference tools; disabling non-essential cookies may affect how parts of the Site work.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required, we treat a recognized browser-based opt-out signal such as GPC as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information / targeted advertising for that browser or device.
5. "Selling" & "sharing" of personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some privacy laws (such as California's CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws) define "sale" and "sharing" broadly to include using third-party advertising cookies and pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising. Under those definitions, our use of the advertising pixels described above may be considered "sharing" (or a "sale") of certain identifiers and usage data for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time by: (a) enabling GPC in your browser; (b) adjusting your cookie/browser settings; or (c) emailing [email protected] with "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the subject line. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, under agreements that limit their use of it, and as described in this Policy. The main categories and providers are:
| Purpose | Providers (examples) |
|---|---|
| Website hosting & delivery | Cloudflare |
| Payments | Stripe |
| Email & marketing automation | ActiveCampaign; Beehiiv; Zapier |
| Email verification | ZeroBounce |
| Video hosting | Wistia |
| Messaging automation | ManyChat (Instagram) |
| Analytics & advertising | Meta (Facebook); TikTok; Google |
| Embedded tools | Blossom (portfolio verification) |
Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. This list may change as our tools change; we will keep this Policy reasonably current.
7. Other disclosures
We may also disclose information: (a) to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful government request; (b) to enforce our Terms or protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or others; and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
8. Email & messaging choices
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time; we honor applicable email laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act. If you ever provide a phone number for text updates, you consent to receive those messages, message and data rates may apply, and you can opt out by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages needed to deliver a purchase you've made.
9. Your U.S. privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know / access the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Obtain a copy (portability) of information you provided; and
- Opt out of "sale"/"sharing" and targeted advertising (see Section 5).
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email associated with your information) and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows; we may ask for proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response; if you remain unsatisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
10. EU/UK rights & international transfers
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We operate from the United States, so if you use the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
11. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain your account and purchase records, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, and we rely on reputable providers (such as Stripe for payments and Cloudflare for hosting). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
The Site and Course are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or under 13 within the meaning of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and platforms (such as Upwork, our social profiles, affiliate partners, and embedded tools). We are not responsible for their privacy practices; their policies govern the information you share with them.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted here, and where required we will take additional steps to notify you.
